The idea of eliminating your dependence on glasses or contacts can be exciting, but it is important to determine if you are a good candidate. We begin with a thorough consultation to evaluate your vision and the condition of your corneas. During this appointment, you will meet with our Refractive Surgery Coordinator, Theresa Anthony, to learn more about the surgery, scheduling, and healing time, as well as get accurate measurements of corneas. Your surgeon will review the initial screening, and if it is determined that you are a candidate for surgery, an appointment will be made to later meet with your surgeon to review the testing results and discuss what is best for your vision needs. Our fellowship-trained surgeons, Dr. Skoog and Dr. Mortensen, take a careful approach when considering eye surgery, so meeting you is important. We want you to be comfortable with your decision and have an opportunity to ask questions directly of your surgeon.
