Mitchell J. V. Maier, OD
Dr. Maier grew up in North Dakota and received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1998 from North Dakota State University. In 2002, he received his Doctor of Optometry, graduating with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
After graduation, he completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry with an emphasis in Geriatrics and Ocular Disease sponsored by the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Spokane. A portion of the residency program was completed at Spokane Eye Clinic, giving him specialty training in cataract, glaucoma, retina, strabismus, corneal disease, and contact lens care.
He is certified by the national board and is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Contact Lens and Cornea Section (CLCS) of the American Optometric Association, and Washington Association of Optometric Physicians.
Dr. Maier joined the Spokane Eye Clinic team in 2003. He provides comprehensive eye examinations and has special interests in the co-management of PRK and cataract surgery, eye disease, and contact lenses.
His personal interests include golfing, skiing, hiking, gardening, fishing, and hunting.
