This full time position is responsible for providing an exceptional customer service experience when answering incoming telephone calls and either scheduling an appointment, routing the call, or taking a message for physicians, management or staff.  The accurate scheduling of appointments is completed in accordance with protocols and insurance guidelines.  This position ensures the patient experience is positive and all information provided by and given to the patient during the call is accurate.  

Must work well within a team environment and type 40+ words per minute. Candidates with an understanding of medical/vision insurance and benefit information are preferred. This position requires the ability to work any shift between 7am-5pm. Spokane Eye Clinic (SEC) is looking to add a full-time, certified orthoptist from an accredited program to join our growing pediatric ophthalmology & adult strabismus team. SEC is a multi-subspecialty eye practice with 17 ophthalmologists and soon to be 11 optometrists serving the Spokane, Washington area in 4 practice locations. Our pediatric team currently has 2 pediatric ophthalmologists and 1 orthoptist. We have a comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology service and we are the primary adult strabismus service for the Inland Northwest region.

This new orthoptist will work under the direction of our pediatric ophthalmologists in both their clinics as well as in their own regular orthoptic clinic. They will assist the doctors in working up pediatric patients as well as detecting and treating ocular motor disorders in adult strabismus and double vision patients. They will also assist our research department with pediatric research studies.

 Clinical Technician needed at Spokane Eye Clinic.  An ophthalmic clinical technician is responsible for patient work-ups, visual acuities, pupils, refractions, medical history, chief complaint, scribing. Excellent patient interaction, attendance/punctuality and strong computer skills (including 40+ wpm) are required.  Must be detail oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.  Will obtain for MA-R (Medical Assistant – Registered) certificate upon hire.  We have multiple locations in Spokane (open 7am to 5pm) so reliable transportation is required as the position is rotational among them.  The work schedule is Monday through Friday and start/end times vary along with the length of the work day (can be more or less than 8 hours per day).  Most techs work approximately 38-40 hours per week.  Excellent compensation and benefits to include medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, optical benefits, vacation, sick, holiday pay, uniform allowance, and 401k/profit sharing plan. For more information about our organization visit

Full-time Medical Records Clerk needed at Spokane Eye Clinic.  This position is responsible for maintaining the order of both paper and electronic patient health records.  Duties include pulling and distributing paper charts, managing paper charts, data entry into electronic charts, scanning to electronic charts, internal and external record requests, and helping callers with patient portal enrollment.  The position is primarily at our Valley location (Indiana and Sullivan), but could change to any clinic location based on business need and must have the ability to cover north or valley clinics as required.  Hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.  Benefits package to include medical, dental, LTD, life, optical, 401(k), PSP, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.  Prefer candidates with previous medical office experience or schooling.  Must type 40+wpm.  Strong computer and communication skills are required.

This is a full-time front desk receptionist position that must be available to work any of our 4 clinic locations in Spokane according to business needs. The ideal candidate will have one or more years previous medical check in/check out experience in a multi-physician setting, excellent customer service skills, type 40+ WPM, and be a team player, although we can train the right applicant from scratch. Responsible for accurate patient account set up, insurance eligibility check, referral/authorization obtainment, collecting payments, and scheduling of appointments. Candidates with NextGen EPM/EHR experience or with an understanding of medical/vision insurance information is preferred. The work schedule is an 8 hour day with an hour lunch Monday through Friday. Although a set schedule will be assigned after training, flexibility to work any shift between 6:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. is required. Must enjoy and thrive in a complex, extremely fast-paced work environment. Patient Advocate position opening in Business Services responsible for participating in many aspects of the patient processing and accounts receivable functions. To include billing, charge entry, pre-authorizations, refunds, payment posting, customer service, coding, and other billing functions.  This position is also responsible to verify insurance information and benefits research for patient financial advising by phone or face-to face. Backup support to registration and other Business Services tasks required. In addition, a level II position is required to be a viable back up for all tasks associated with the Patient Account Representative I position.
