
Samuel P. Burke, MD
Dr. Burke graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he received his undergraduate degree in chemistry. Prior to his medical training, he spent a year teaching English in Temuco, Chile with the governmental program Ingles Abre Puertas. He then graduated from medical school at the University of Miami in Florida and did an internal medicine internship at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and finished his training with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Burke joined the Spokane Eye Clinic in October 2022.
Dr. Burke’s professional interests include diagnosis and treatment of corneal and external eye diseases, small incision cataract surgery, specialty intraocular lenses, partial and full thickness corneal transplantation, and laser vision correction (Advanced Surface Ablation / PRK).
Dr. Burke is an avid traveler and is looking forward to exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In his free time he also enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and gardening.
