The Spokane Eye Clinic has expanded its specialty offerings to include select cosmetic treatments. Dr. Nicholas Ranson, a Board-certified Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in repairing eye sockets, eyelids and tear ducts. He has also received specialty training in Botox cosmetic injections, which temporarily reduce or eliminate certain facial wrinkles.

The process is simple and relatively painless. Prescription medication is injected into muscles to smooth facial wrinkles, including frown lines and creases between the eyes and on the forehead. Results from Botox can be seen within a few days and results typically last up to four months.

Botox is often injected close to the eye. Having a trained eye doctor who is specializes in treating the sensitive areas around the eyes administer the injection can decrease the risk of side effects.

In addition to offering Botox, the Spokane Eye Clinic has started prescribing Latisse, a prescription medication that helps eyelashes grow longer, fuller and darker.
