Alan M. Johnson, OD

Dr. Johnson attended Michigan Technological University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with highest distinction in 1990. Subsequently, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with the highest distinction as class valedictorian in 1994 from Michigan's Ferris State University (FSU) College of Optometry. Dr. Johnson has had specialty training at the CIBA Vision Contact Lens Research Clinic in Duluth, Georgia, and at the Grand Forks Air Force Base Hospital in North Dakota.  In addition, Dr. Johnson has completed a one-year post-graduate residency and two years of advanced practice in eye disease, cataract, and refractive surgery co-management with The Eye Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Boise, Idaho.

Dr. Johnson is Board Certified and has been the recipient of the American Foundation for Vision Awareness Scholarship, the FSU College of Optometry Academic Recognition Award, and the CIBA Vision Contact Lens Achievement Award. Dr. Johnson's professional involvement includes membership in the American Optometric Association, the Washington Association of Optometric Physicians, and the Idaho Optometric Association.
